New Rail Franchise needs to get more people using the train

Commenting on the announcement today that KeolisAmey has been awarded the Wales & Borders rail franchise, Harri Lloyd-Davies, President of the South Wales Chamber of Commerce said:

“The South Wales Chamber of Commerce looks forward to working with KeolisAmey to get more business travellers out of their cars and on to the train. Their priority now is to improve services across Wales; for people to get to work, for business travellers getting to meetings and for visitors. While we accept that we won’t see immediate changes KeolisAmey need to focus on delivering the Cardiff Capital Metro, increasing frequency of services in Mid and West Wales, and improving the user experience to get more people choosing to use the train.”
