CPR Global Tech Ltd manufactures the CPR Call Blocker range of products and is the global bestseller of standalone call blocking technology. The company was established in Swansea in 2010 in response to the growing problem of nuisance and scam calls in the UK. The company’s aim was to produce a device which put the consumer (and in particular vulnerable and elderly adults) back in control of their privacy without the need to change their telephone numbers.
Invertek Drives Ltd, an independently owned company based in Powys, designs and manufactures a range of variable frequency drives (VFDs), sometimes referred to as AC inverters, used to control the speed of electric motors in a wide variety of industrial automation and energy saving applications.
Global industry is responsible for a significant amount of carbon emissions and governments worldwide are introducing regulations and legislation to limit the amount of energy used in order to minimise harmful environmental effects.
SPTS Technologies designs and manufactures etch and deposition equipment used to make a wide range of semiconductor devices for end-products such as smartphones, LED lighting, games consoles, cars and many other consumer goods used in everyday life. We are headquartered in Newport, South Wales, with the majority of our products manufactured here in the UK with around 280 employees based here. Typically over 95% of our products are exported overseas. We also have a small manufacturing operation in Allentown Pennsylvania, and Sales/Service offices located close to our customers in Taiwan, China, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, USA, France and Germany, employing a further 190 people overseas. In other countries (like India, UAE, Russia, Italy, and the Czech Republic) with less demand for semiconductor processing equipment, we operate through a network of authorised agents.
WELSH HILLS BAKERY
Welsh Hills Bakery was established in 1956 and has grown into a well-respected and creative company employing 82 staff in Wales and supplying in excess of 80 product lines. Welsh Hills Bakery’s total sales in 2016 were circa £5,000,000. Of this, 20% were exports. We are BRC Accredited Grade “A”. In 2001 we started making gluten free cakes and short crust pastry pies. We were the first company to supply two of the UK major supermarket chains with their own brand of gluten free products. We still supply those same products to them and now count Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Waitrose and Holland & Barrett among our customer portfolio. We also provide products to the NHS. In 2008 we developed our own brand of gluten free products named Lovemore Free From Foods. Lovemore has grown steadily to include a range of delicious shortbreads and cookies, along with the traditional apple pies and cherry bakewells, fruit slab cakes and iced cakes along with mince pies for Christmas.
